January 2021- Knit & Crochet Along Inspiration

January 2021- Knit & Crochet Along Inspiration

Welcome 2021! Before I spend the rest of my morning playing in my yarn stash and winding skeins for planned projects, I thought I'd quickly pop in to share a little inspiration for your KCAL projects. For a refresher on KCAL details, here's a quick link for you. These patterns are not the only ones you can do for the KCAL, this is just meant to supply a little inspiration to get you going.

Keep scrolling, because I'm also including some yarn ideas from my favorite makers near the end! That's right, if you didn't catch it on the initial KCAL announcement, there is no requirement to use Shipwrecked Sheep yarn. I appreciate that we all have different budgets and different options & stashes.

I'm including a range of different project sizes, because some of us knit faster or slower and some of us prefer larger or smaller sized projects. I'm listing a combination of knit and crochet patterns, marked with a {k} or a {c}, many available on Etsy or Ravelry, but it's noted for each one where you can get it. Looking for some new yarns for your projects?

This month's exclusive colorway from Two Sheeps Collaborations is with Wedgewood Fibers and can be purchased now here. Photo from twosheeps.com.

You can find this gorgeous colorway Chaotic Unicorn at Mitchell's Creations. Photo from MitchellsCreations.com.

And it looks like you can still get Blackberry Crumble, a special end of 2020 colorway from Pancake & Lulu. Photo from PancakeandLulu.com.

Last but not least, I'll have a shop update later today if I manage to get it all ready. I had all these wonderful intentions of having a big update on January 1, 2021 but felt ill for the last two weeks and didn't get as much done as expected. That's okay, there's so much beautiful yarn out there, I'm sure if you're in the shopping mood, the above yarns will inspire you!

If you haven't registered for the 2021 KCAL, there's still time! For January and February, I'm allowing people to register still during the first week of the month, but after that, you'll have to register in advance of each month. Remember, you get to submit one project a month to enter and if you enter 3, 6, 9, or 12 months in a row there are special prizes for you!
